![]() Otherwise, running BCompare will generate a BCState.xml in your user's %AppData%\Scooter Software\Beyond Compare 4\. If in the same directory, it is a Portable Install. The determining factor is if BCState.xml is in the Install Directory alongside BCompare.exe. If you copy/paste the directory, that will create a non-portable on the other system. Having already wowed colleagues by the quality of the testing feedback this is providing I woudl really like to get the interlaced working on the files reports because, as you can see from the attached example, they are just too long. The State and Session XML are already in place in the BC root directory and are also deployed to the working folder of the build agent (root of where the folders to compare are loaded) This is being executed by a TeamCity build agent running ton this server. "c:\GroupcallTestUtilities\Beyond Compare 4\" /silent BaseFiles\Files.zip gcu\files ![]() The command line being used to execute BC is: ![]() The Zip file attached includes the script, state.xml, session.xml and one of the generated file report. However when opening the individual file report I am still seeing a side by side comparison. I have made some more changes to my script since my original post - The folder report is really nice now and the rule based content comparison is working perfectly. Yes, after double clicking a file and then opening the report it is defaulted to interlaced "Then load a new Folder Compare and load your two target folders in the graphical interface, double click a test file, and in that Text Compare, is the default currently set to Interleaved?" "If you open a new, blank Text Compare, and go to the Session menu -> Text Compare Report, is it currently defaulting to Interleaved?" This is also a portable install (which I have confirmed as I was able to copy and paste it to another machine and run it successfully)
